Hello again everyone, and Merry Christmas.
Sorry to be a few days late in posting this month. We have just left Tenerife and are now in La Gomera for a few days, before travelling down to the Cape Verde islands for Christmas. We have had a visit from Lori and Clive and have seen a bit more of the island. Read all about it on November’s Log Page.
Mike’s Page will fill you in on maintenance and sailing matters.
We have updated our Google Map also. If you go to ‘Our Route’ page, read the instructions then click on the map.
We haven’t done the hand drawn map for this month as we have only moved across to Gomera.
See you next month, hopefully. We don’t know what internet access will be like in the Cape Verde’s.
Pat & Mike.
Welcome to the voyage of El Lobo.
We are Mike Perrin and Pat Whittaker from Sunderland, UK, We hope to spend the next few years travelling the globe. Mike has done a lot of sailing and Pat hopes she will be more experienced on their return!
We have refurbished this grand old lady, El Lobo, and began our circumnavigation on 1st April 2007. She is a 39 ft Samson C-Bird Ferro cement junk-rigged schooner which was built in 1971. She has already been to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and Baltic with her previous owner. We hope to have as many grand adventures.
Friends and colleagues are welcome to browse these pages and we hope to keep everyone updated as the voyage progresses. If you want to drop us a line we would love to hear from you. Just use the links below. You can either e-mail us individually or sign our guest book and share your comments with everyone. We may not be able to reply at once while we’re at sea but will be looking forward to reading all your news as we reach our various landfalls.
